She spent the most perfect years of youth growing up at the stable and chasing butterflies through wooded trails on horseback. The rhythm of the horse runs through her veins, and she just can't shake it. Allison's academic interests revolved around Nature Studies. She holds a BS in Religious Studies and Biology, and received her MA in Religious Studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her thesis engaged the insights from French philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty's Phenomenology of Perception to explore the horse and rider's transcendence into a “third, much greater thing.” Allison has worked for Eclectic Horseman Communications, the Boulder County Horse Association, EcoArts, Eco-Writer, Kreative Keystrokes, Inc., A Time to Align Chiropractic & Acupuncture, and Customer Paradigm. |
