Twinkle
Once upon a midnight clear, after a long day of stoking the creative fires, whilst striding along the illuminated foothills of the idyllic mountain town, we found ourself caught in reflection under a full-bellied moon. Gazing up into the navy celestial depths, we began counting our lucky stars, those crazy diamonds in the sky: "Thank you, and thank you and YOU and you and you..." and so on, ad infinitum.
The heavenly bodies winked in response to our ambling litany. There and then, shining in that auspicious night, (enamored with our place in space), we were drenched in gratitude for 'the happening that was 2009' (and its near end). As the wind picked up and rattled the naked limbs overhead, we were wrapped in all the memories of:
Long twalks with the best of friends and co-conspirators, Portuguese cookie cakes with extra chantilly, le jardin d'ete, finding the center of our heart and hanging out for a while (and then a little bit longer), two Pete Yorn concerts, one tambourine that makes all the difference, and 3 desserts - always, witnessing the most amazing Montana sunset in the history of sunsets, the sacred sunday hikes, and the laughter -- all the laughter.
As our favorite folk artist said: "It's always bigger than the individual." So many of our lucky stars (you and you and you) make up the scenes that light up our hearts when we re-run through the whirlwind of the past 12 months. You're the light of our lives here at Auspicious Headquarters.
