Alster is a knitting machine fueled by her love of all things natural and wooly and the not-so-instant gratification of crafting warm and handy things just like in the days of yor when crafting your own woolens was part of the daily routine.

Although the closest thing she has to a sheep is a fluffy dog, she feels that knitting is a functional and sustainable art form. From scarves and hats to felted bags in all colors and textures, sizes and shapes, her prolific knittables have been (sometimes surprise) gifts for friends and family, acquaintances and new babies.
